VIVA plays guitar like a flaming sword, a screaming train and a scratching chicken. She sings like if Freddy Mercury had been a woman and her songs are pretty clever. In her power trio rock band, VIVA combines with Sean Dixon on drums and bassist Mary Feaster to serve luxurious deep pocket grooves and shimmering guitar sonics. Together, they deliver a big sound, transforming anger and frustration into beauty and joy. Since they popped up on the scene in 2018, they quickly became underground favorites remaining undefeated at the art of turning a room, whether it’s the Kennedy Center, a warehouse or your neighborhood dive bar.
