Alvie & The Breakfast Pigs and Skip The Needle bring raw punk, alt-rock, funk and rock energy to Mac’s in Fairfax. At Mac’s at 19 Broadway in Fairfax on Friday, November 6, doors 8:00 pm.

Alvie & The Breakfast Pigs and Skip The Needle bring a night of raw rock, punk, alt-rock, funk and high-energy live music to Mac’s at 19 Broadway in Fairfax.

Alvie & The Breakfast Pigs are a San Francisco-based rock band known for their loud, raw and unapologetic approach to music. Their sound blends alternative rock and punk with driving riffs, punchy lyrics, grit and melody. The band has performed at major Bay Area rock venues and festivals and has shared bills with acts including White Denim, Authority Zero, The Yawpers, The Dirty Few and others.

Joining them is Oakland’s Skip The Needle, a four-piece whose music combines rock, funk and soul with an energetic live approach. Their current music is built around driving funk, rock and soul, while their catalog has also been described as funk-metal and rock ‘n’ roll-funk.

Together, the two acts bring very different but complementary sides of Bay Area rock to the Mac’s stage: punk attitude, alternative rock, funk grooves, soul and live-band energy.
